Fool
Tears wet my cheeks
As they trail after my heart
Heartaches are for our youthful days
Not now that it's turned hard
Seldom do we know
When or where our hearts will be lost
This is good
For if we knew
We would hide ourselves
Among the camouflaged leaves
Keeping safe that that could hurt
Making us foolish again
Just like our youth
Bringing forward thoughts of righteousness
Glory in being
Ignorance in shouting
Forever making mistakes
Learning far behind
Not really getting the meaning
Of what a fool really is...
But believing it will never be us.
